Intimate Nashville Wedding with a Blush Kimono Gown
Not only is this bride’s blush pink kimono wedding gown a show-stopper in itself, it was an affordable find from ASOS! Mary Katherine and Matt had a day that was as nontraditional and eclectic as they are, with bridesmaids in all white and a guitar shaped wedding cake. The unbeatable combination of Teale Photography and Cedarwood Weddings did fantastic work on this one!
From the event planners and designers, Cedarwood Weddings: Mary Katherine and Matt raised the eclectic bar at their artisanal countryside Cedarwood wedding celebrating love, music and indie style. Mary Katherine and Matt wanted a colorful, unexpected and non-traditional take on wedding design. For starters: Mary Katherine wore an exquisite silk Kimono gown in the softest shade of blush, which she ordered online from ASOS! In a reverse from the norm, her bridesmaids wore white dresses, each one uniquely hand-picked for a mismatched but cohesive look. Guys wore their own versions of navy (jeans welcomed!) And the flowers… starting with blooms in the bride’s hair – the loveliest peonies and ranunculus – which also grace gorgeous, flowing-ribbon bouquets. And fresh, green garlands everywhere.
Mary Katherine and Matt met at a music festival and their eclectic style was studded with colorful, vintage glass, soft-colored blooms and of course, music. Because Matt works in the entertainment industry in tour production, he is well connected with artists, and gathered a group of musician friends to play reggae at their reception! We love Matt’s guitar-shaped groom’s cake, replicating his tattoo design (a surprise from his bride) and a tribute to the music that brought them together. Their lovely May Cedarwood Wedding celebration was impeccably photographed by Teale Photography, and we are smitten these images, and this day.
