Dreamy Christmas Wedding at the Boston Public Library

Picture festive decorations mingling with the inviting scent of old books, as this dreamy Christmas wedding unfolded like a carefully crafted plot, complete with mistletoe moments and gorgeous wintry touches throughout! Join me in unwrapping the magic of a Boston Library winter wedding, where love and literature danced in a holiday harmony that would make even the Grinch’s heart grow a few sizes.

When Martin proposed to Molly, her first thought was of hosting a dreamy holiday wedding right before Christmas, her favorite holiday. After deciding on the Boston Public Library as their venue, Molly and her mother Jane (a design aficionado) set to work with their planner to create a day that reflected the holidays in a warm, inviting, and elevated way, working within a color palette of rich reds, deep greens, gold, and pops of black to create a design that was both festive and chic.

A candlelit ceremony officiated by the bride’s childhood best friend and maid of honor took place in the outdoor courtyard, with Molly adorned in a white faux fur coat to keep herself warm in the chilly New England temps.

After the couple said “I do,” guests warmed themselves up with the couple’s favorite winter cocktails: cider rum punch and festive negronis. Dinner inside featured tables set with glowing candles and individual scrolls containing the lyrics to “Joy To The World” – as guests unraveled their scrolls, they were led in song by the bride’s beloved aunt as the pre-meal blessing.

Following a night of dancing and joyful singing, guests entered the speakeasy library bar affectionately called “The Map Room” for a late night party!
