Downtown Birmingham Spring Wedding Inspiration
It seems like spring offers some of the prettiest weddings around, thanks in part to bountiful lush foliage and fresh blooms — quite a few of which you’ll see in this styled shoot from Photos by Heart and Vera Flora Design. Captured in downtown Birmingham, the shoot blends easy spring style with an urban industrial vibe (we’re loving the exposed brick) plus a cake so pretty, it’d be a near crime to eat it.
From the photographer and shoot designer, Photos by Heart: When Bryanna (of Vera Flora Design) and I began designing this shoot, we knew we wanted to pursue a modern/fresh take on the pastel palette that spring fêtes are known for. After securing our venue, the style truly evolved into something all its own — becoming a marriage of soft springtime hues with the rich tones of Carrigan’s Public House and downtown Birmingham city vibes. Each facet reflects our stylish, and fun-loving couple … from the delicious pub fare, custom cocktails, and rooftop dancing … to the two-piece wedding gown, and one-of-a-kind Victorian-era engagement ring from Trumpet & Horn. Cakes By Kim created a scrumptious four-tier wedding cake, featuring a delicate blue marble design, and romantic flourish of florals; the light lemon + lavender cake with lemon buttercream frosting was the perfect pairing!
