We need a gif to accurately illustrate our excitement about Dhani and Jonny’s destination wedding in Phuket. As if the wedding venue, Aquila Villa Phuket, wasn’t enough to stop us in our tracks, Iris Flora and Wedding Boutique Phuket took it up a notch by creating a Pantone’s Living Coral dream in wedding with a tropical touch.
From Ilaire of Wedding Boutique Phuket:
Living Coral was in the air!
It takes a village… to plan a Destination Wedding! Every pretty photo you pin, every detail that inspires you… they each have a wedding-loving heart and brand behind, that made this moment possible.
Imagine when you were planning a Wedding for over a year and… you discover that you
unconsciously picked the Pantone 2019 for your perfect Tropical Inspiration!
A LIVING CORAL color palette, to anticipate the trend of the year 2019, which gave an awe-inspiring touch of hue to the Ceremony, from the detail of the gold chairs to the choice of juicy vivid tropical flowers, creating a half arch, in an accent of vastness blue. That’s what we called “brackets of Love”. The stunning venue “The Aquila” Luxury Villa Phuket, the eccentric design and styling by “Wedding Boutique Phuket” in a perfect medley of coral shades, and the awesome Bride beautifully wrapped into “Babushka Ballerina” two pieces gown.
As part of traditional “something borrowed”, Dhani borrowed her Mum’s engagement ring,
Nanny’s engagement ring and Granny’s eternity ring. These were all tied into the back of her dress. What made it even more special is that Granny couldn’t make it overseas and her Nanny isn’t with us anymore.
Whatever detail you fall for, there’s a whole lotta love behind it.
…and then imagine being on top of the world and to see beyond infinity.
Dhani and Jonny love to travel and Thailand is one of their favorite countries in the world They love the culture, the people, the food, smells, beaches and everything about it. They’ve always dreamed of having a wedding that extends beyond one day and an excuse to have a holiday with all their friends and family. That’s why Phuket. In the luxurious private Villa overlooking the ocean, where the line of the sky is confused with that
of the sea, they said “I do” with the most perfect Sunset dropping behind them. And like a perfectly planned fairytale, the couple kicked off the dinner and party under a myriad of
fairy lights that gave a magic blaze to the colorful table centerpieces.
Where and when did you two meet?
Jonny and Dhani first met ice skating on Bondi Beach in Australia. Yes, you read it right, each year during the winter they set up an ice skating rink on Bondi Beach. When Jonny first laid eyes on Dhani he told his friend he wanted to take her on a date.
How did your Groom propose? Dhani is hard to surprise as she always guesses. Jonny knew he had to plan the proposal at a time she’d least expect it. They had booked a long weekend away at the stunning Great Barrier Reef with friends visiting from England. Jonny told Dhani that there were no flights available so they had to fly up earlier than the rest of the group. When they arrived Jonny took Dhani on a walk along a stunning deserted white sand beach, where he had planned a surprise picnic on the beach, importing all Dhani’s favourite foods and a dozen roses. When they spotted the picnic Jonny dropped to one knee and the rest is history. A funny side note – Jonny worked with the hotel to set up the picnic for him. When he received the invoice for the picnic at the end of the holiday it was labeled “panic lunch” instead of “picnic lunch”.
Why did you choose Phuket as the location for your Wedding?
That one is simple – Dhani and Jonny love Phuket!
Why you opt for Wedding Boutique Phuket as your Wedding Planner?
Because every single one of the Wedding Boutiques Weddings was STUNNING!
What kind of emotions did you feel throughout the day?
Both Jonny and Dhani were unbelievably excited! They thought they’d have nerves but they couldn’t wait to see each other and say their vows.
Why you decide to have a Destination Wedding abroad?
There are so many reasons! Dhani and Jonny love to travel and Thailand is one of their favourite countries in the world. They love the culture, the people, the food, smells, beaches and everything about it.
They’ve always dreamed of having a wedding that extends beyond one day and an excuse to have a holiday with all their friends and family. For this reason, the close-knit group celebrated for around a week and included swimming and snorkeling on a yacht in the lead-up, rehearsal dinner, recovery pool party plus plenty of beach and pool time together.
Was there one particular moment that was very special to you?
Dhani – “I was standing at the top of the stairs waiting for the music to start and to walk down the aisle. I peeked over the edge and saw Jonny and at that very moment, he happened to look up and see me. I’ll never forget the love and excitement on his face.”
Jonny – “I was going to say the same thing! Ok, I’ll choose another one. I loved it when we were lifted high above the group on chairs (during the Hora dance) and we were holding hands.”
