Dana-Powers House Wedding Part I

This wedding at California’s Dana-Powers House is a perfect meld of the bride and groom’s style, which happens to be a Victorian-meets-Mid-Century aesthetic. We were so happy to hear bride Beth pulled inspiration from our very own site in planning her wedding day! Each of these images from onelove photography flawlessly tells the story of Beth and Daniel’s big day. Stay tuned for Part II coming soon!

From the bride, Beth: I spent a lot of time on Pinterest as well as Ruffled getting ideas for our wedding. A lot of our inspiration comes from our personal style, Daniel and I love mixing Victorian and Mid Century design elements.

The entire day was absolutely perfect! I loved seeing Daniel and all of the groomsmen getting off the bus while all of us ladies were upstairs getting ready. I put our ceremony together, we had friends sing a song, and we wrote our own vows which made the ceremony so special. Seeing each other for the first time before the ceremony and then again when I started down aisle was a feeling we will never forget! The whole reception was so much fun, I loved taking pictures of our friends posing in the photo booth and when the aqua glow sticks hit the dance floor it was pretty awesome!

Any advice you’d like to share with future brides planning their wedding day? Really try to take in the whole day. It was great taking all of our pictures before the ceremony so that we didn’t miss any of the reception. We also snuck away immediately after the ceremony to have a few minutes alone and to see the barn fully decorated before it was full of people. I am glad we did so that we could take in everything that we had worked so hard putting together!
