Modern Crisp White Wedding Editorial that’s Warm and Inviting and ALL Gorgeous
A modern crisp white wedding is for the minimalist. It’s elegant. It’s luxe. It’s intentional. It’s everything you want a chic wedding to be. This Toronto wedding team brought on their A-game to showcase how an all white wedding can still be warm and inviting, modern and romantic all in one. I will let Toronto wedding planner and stylist Dancing & Dessert take the lead:
From Dancing & Dessert: We designed and planned this elegant and dreamy Toronto wedding styled shoot that was inspired by the naturally occurring tones and textures we see in the earth. Proof that a neutral palette is anything but boring.
We set the shoot in the incredible Mint Room Studios in Toronto. The studio was the perfect backdrop, filled with incredible and lavish details that complimented our natural and romantic style and it’s colour scheme of desaturated rose, sage, ivory, and deep chocolatey browns.
The floral arrangements were created by Coriander Girl using a mix of dried palm leaves, brown phragmites, babies breath, and roses to create pieces that felt both structural yet wild as though they had sprung perfectly from nature.
Instead of an arrangement on the table we wanted to create a cloud of natural beauty above, giving the setup a sense airiness and height that a table arrangement would have missed.
The bouquets were simple, complimenting the minimalism seen throughout the shoot.
The tone was set by the talented photographer Alix Gould, who captured, with intimacy, the day’s details. Her keen eyes sought out the most exquisite details whilst creating a sense of lightness and grace.
Designs By A created an exceptional invitation suite, menu, and guest book. The menus were vellum and added a touch of modern airiness to the table whilst the understated invitation suit exuded style and elegance.
The entire day was, of course, captured on film by the ultra-talented Naturally Captured who added his personal touch of fun with an edit that was full of energy.
We sourced our rentals through the sophisticated Chair-man Mills. I wanted to strike the perfect balance of understated modern elegance and bohemian whimsy. I did this through the layering of texture as opposed to colour. By adding a copper element in the flatware and stemware we were also able to give the minimalistic table depth.
The brides were dressed in gowns from the stylish Papilio Boutique. The dresses were chosen for their texture (feathered accents as well as floral appliqué), all in shades of ivory to complement the palette.
Kai By Nicola offered up her beautiful engagement rings for the shoot, her style lends itself to simplicity, clean lines and a soft organic feel that added a touch of unique sparkle.
The always fabulous Bridal Hair Collective and The Look Bridal were there on the day to make our models look and feel beautiful. The makeup was classic, a balance of effortless elegance. The hair was styled in a way that felt natural, slightly undone and yet refined.
Love In Bloom Cakes was the women in charge of the most dreamy cake ever, an organic combination of textures was perfectly topped with dried roses in hues of desaturated pink and pale coffee.Be sure to check out the behind-the-scenes footage from Naturally Captured.
