Cosmic Inspired Wedding Ideas with Moody Tones
This styled shoot from Sara Monika, Photographer and Quill & Oak blends the best of two worlds, giving us inspiration for not only woodland weddings, but beach weddings as well! The creative team integrated moody hues and cosmic energy for a shoot that’s utterly magical from head to toe.
From the photographer, Sara Monika, Photographer: The universe is a magical place. The intangible qualities of the stars, geodes, and the vast space that surrounds us is full of energy that is invisible to the eye, but not to our hearts. It’s a sort of mystery. Similar to love. Love is an intangible energy that flows through us and makes us say things like “when you know you know,” “I want to spend forever with you,” and simply “I’m in love with you”.
With love carrying such an intangible, magical energy, I was inspired to create a wedding styled shoot that celebrates the powerful force + energy of the universe. A shoot filled with cosmic tones, which are warmed up in the presence of love + light. All working together simultaneously to create a mysterious yet comforting atmosphere. Sara Monika, Photographer along with Oliver + Kei of Oak & Quill set out to find vendors that would add to our inspiration. With an incredible group of people, we were able to put together this Cosmic Inspired Wedding Styled Shoot. With regards to the details. We chose the dress we did from Sash & Bustle since it reminded us of twinkling stars! Kirsten + Lindsay from The Perfect Table dressed the dinner table by introducing star shapes and deep blues and bright whites. Kei, the florist, incorporated colors that we can witness in nebulas and geodes. The rings which are handmade by Anouk Jewellery signify the beauty in our imperfect universe since each ring is made to be imperfect on purpose, just as love + life is. We chose to have the shoot by the water on Lake Simcoe (more specifically at Sibbald Point) since we wanted the “couple” to be surrounded by all the elements – Fire, Water, Earth, Air – and what’s better than a mini bonfire on the beach!?
