Copper + Fruit Wedding Inspiration
These days, copper is one of those accents we just can’t resist. Pair it up with eucalyptus and then add one hands-down show-stopping gown from Hayley Paige, and goodness gracious we’re in love. Thank you to Lauren Elisabeth Events for dreaming up this inspiring scene, Giving Tree Photography for capturing it all on camera, and The Sodus Blossom for your beautiful floral arrangements!
From the event designer, Lauren Elisabeth Events: We wanted a very earthy and chic feel for our styled shoot with a lot of blues and greenery. We wanted to incorporated copper touches and fell in love with the idea of spray painting real fruit for our centerpiece, place cards, table number, and to include in the bouquet and on the cake. I spray painted the fresh fruit 2 days prior to the shoot – pineapple, pears and grapes – and used a metallic copper spray paint. Once everything was dry, I gently placed them back into the refrigerator and they kept very nicely. We absolutely loved how the fruit turned out and the statement it makes in the pictures.
For the dress, I chose a romantic and whimsical Hayley Paige gown to keep on point with the “chic” aspect of our theme. For the tux, I wanted to stick to something classic, while tying into the different shades of blue. For the florals, we kept it light and airy with a lot of green. Kelsey did such a beautiful job on the bouquet, cake, boutonnière, & headpiece. All the while incorporating our spray painted fruit!
That dress is AMAZING!
