Copper and Slate Autumn Inspiration Shoot
Two seconds flat — that’s roughly how long it took me to fall in love with this incredible shoot from the talented team of Love By Serena, East Made Event Company, and Mobtown Florals. The unique color palette of copper, slate, and mustard works beautifully, while the bride positively shines in her Hayley Paige wedding gown. And let’s not forget that killer hairstyle, either!
From the event planner, Elizabeth of East Made Event Company: With this shoot, I wanted to bring modern, geometric elements into nature — the Japanese maple tree grove at Cylburn Arboretum in Baltimore provided such a unique location for this. I grew up in Baltimore City and many of the details I chose — the leather club chair, the copper lanterns, our model’s funky braided hairstyle — could easily fit into a modern/industrial city wedding but may not typically be used in a garden setting.
I was also interested in an alternative color palette — copper and slate are two colors currently on trend but adding mustard yellow brought a softer, more bohemian feel. Mustard yellow is one of my favorite colors and my husband wasn’t crazy about using it in our own wedding, so this was finally my chance! Our model’s gorgeous naturally red hair added a deeper dimension of classic yet modern glamour to this shoot. We were lucky on shooting day with the sun angles late in the afternoon and Serena from Love By Serena was able to capture some incredible shots on film.
This shoot was so fun to be involved with! Beautiful work, everyone! <3
Are you able to share where those napkins are from and their color? So perfect!
