Contemporary Seaside Wedding with Charcoal Sketch Favors for the Guests
In a word, Zhara and Nick’s contemporary seaside wedding is magic. Emitting a sense of haute couture radiance from start to finish, their union at a luxury Santa Barbara resort has everything from a designer wedding gown to custom charcoal sketches for each of their guests. Lucite props keep the decor sophisticated and timeless, as greenery floats in airy perfection throughout, so get your pinning hands ready because this one has inspiration for days!
These fine art shots captured by Michelle Beller give us a sense that we’re floating on a dreamy green + white cloud (is that a thing?)
Grade A planning from California event designer Alexandra Kolendrianos! The circular ceremony, the delicate blooms, the contemporary ambiance… we can’t wait till you see the reception.
Classic petals from Camellia Floral Design bedeck this acrylic arbor with swanky beauty indeed.
And we’re digging those natural waves from TEAM Hair & Makeup!
From the planner, Alexandra Kolendrianos: Zahra and Nick were married on the gorgeous grounds of the Four Seasons Biltmore. Lush greenery surrounded them in the most intimate of settings. We set their ceremony in the round so that the two felt connected to everyone as they said their vows. We wanted the day to feel timeless, contemporary and effortless. Green and white flowers enhanced the ceremony space mixed with some lucite elements. Both carried through their wedding day so that all spaces felt connected and interwoven.
After they said their “I do’s”, guests moved from the gardens to the La Pacifica Terrace overlooking the ocean. Abundant sunshine was throughout as cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, lounges and music set the scene. As guests were ready to enter the dinner area, they were greeted with individual hand drawn charcoal sketches that we designed on a structure with the ocean as the backdrop. The guests names and table numbers were hand calligraphed under each photo. Such a conversation piece! The guests took these home as their favors and were blown away! A custom art piece by Karina Puente is an incredible treat!
We set the dinner area under a custom built wood arbor from Bella Vista Designs, still outdoors, overlooking the ocean. Two long tables sat their guests. While a large guest count, it felt so intimate with this family style vibe for seating. Classic, clean and chic – greens and whites adorned the table top (with accents of grey), while greenery and beautiful crystal and wrought iron pendants hung from above. It was definitely a sight! Guests dined outdoors under the beautiful lighting as daylight turned to evening! Zahra and Nick cut their cake outdoors following a beautiful 3 course dinner & champagne toast and then invited their guests inside the La Pacifica ballroom for “the party!”. Contemporary lounges, gorgeous bars, a 12 piece band and moody lighting greeted their guests for the remainder of the night!
Zahra & Nick’s wedding was timeless, heartfelt and classic and designed through and through!
How romantic is this lighting from Rrivre Works?
And this strapless designer gown with floral appliqués from Mira Zwillinger will live in our dreams for eternity!
