Come Fly Away With Me Wedding Inspiration
What better way to have an elopement than to fly away in a hot air balloon? Elizabeth Moore Photography was there to capture the day’s shoot and her photos did it justice! From them we see a shoot flowing with color and fun, seen in the beautiful and vibrant floral arrangements by Forte Florals and the overall styling by the photographer herself. It’s got equal parts vintage and modern flair thrown in, and heaps and heaps of dreamy romance.
From the photographer and stylist, Elizabeth Moore Photography: A tranquil and pristine rural farm serves as the backdrop for this private hot air balloon elopement inspiration titled “Come Fly With Me”. We can envision this newly eloped bride and groom wanting an intimate and secretive way to celebrate their lasting love for each other, and what better way to depart in style than with a gentle and grand hot air balloon!
From the very beginning, we knew we wanted the shoot to be inspired by the stark red hot air balloon, which acted as the colorful centerpiece to match the couple’s burning love for each other! From there we accented the floral arrangements and basket with plenty of reds, greens, ivory, and blush-tone pink colors using a mixture of ranunculus, anemones, roses, and the delicate ruffles of peonies. To complement the florals, lush eucalyptus branches surrounded the basket and reached up the bars to the chrome burners overhead (and gave off the most wonderfully calming aroma!).
The sophisticated wedding cake sits on top of packed suitcases, ready to go at a moment’s notice. And of course, no air-bound journey is complete without some in-flight treats! These impeccably detailed hot air balloon themed cupcakes and sugar cookies were created from scratch, no tray tables needed. The cast-iron dolly cart dinner table tied in a vintage feel to this sophisticated and modern styled inspiration. No chairs required for this private dinner, as the blankets and red pillows reiterate the intimacy of their surprise elopement. To complete the picture, custom menus and cards were created including gorgeous hand-drawn watercolor hot air balloons!
Our newly-married couple’s style was carefully selected with our bride wearing a gorgeous bright white gown and floral crown and our groom sporting his best complete with a dapper map design bowtie.
After days of clouds and rain, the sun poked out just in time for this shoot. Perfect timing to see our couple off into their new world together!
