Colorful Franciscan Gardens Wedding
Today’s wedding is lovable for so many reasons, least of which is that it involves not one but two wedding photographers: Candice Benjamin, who shot the wedding day, and bride Kaysha, who’s a fantastic photographer herself! Kaysha and John’s big day was full of all the colors we dream about on a daily basis — oranges, yellows, pinks, greys — with a lovely modern twist.
From the bride, Kaysha: We wanted our wedding to be colorful, modern, and playful. Our colors were yellow and grey with touches of orange, pink and blue. We wanted everything to be clean and simple, but with lots of personality and full of our favorite things – like the coke bottles, yummy desserts, and family style seating so we could be close to all our guests.
For our wedding, we made ribbon wands, coke escort bottles, tissue pompoms, “here comes the bride” aisle sign, table numbers, all our paper goods, and the ceremony ribbon backdrop was put together on day of by our wonderful coordinator Lauren.
Any advice for brides planning their weddings now? Choose vendors who’s work you love, trust, and give them plenty of time on your wedding day to work their magic. If your planning any DIY projects start early, and don’t put it off to the last few weeks. Hire a day of coordinator at the very least – they are worth their weight in gold, and take the stress off you, your family, friends and even your vendors! Know that things will not go 100% according to plan, and that’s okay! Relax, laugh it off, and try to stay in the moment. Your wedding day will be amazing, even with the imperfections!

Amazing colors! Very inspiring for 2013!
Crying tears of joy as I relive your special day! It was a perfect wedding and Kaysha’s attention to detail made the entire day spectacular! It was a wonderful reflection of John and Kaysha’s personalities, style and favorite things, so nice when a coupld takes the time to make their wedding a reflection of themselves and their love!
I love the way the tables are set up for the reception. Such a beautiful idea
The last wedding I shot did something similar with fabric tied to a pole. Such a good idea, I wish I had thought about it when I got married.
Thank you so much for the feature!!!
Love her colors! So fresh and feminine! Love it.
