Colorado Wedding Under the Supermoon
What could be dreamier than marrying your love on the night of a supermoon? Bridgette and Hoyt did just that, bringing along the talented Sarah Rose Burns Photography, Feather & Twig, and Beet and Yarrow to make the day one to remember for ages to come. How wonderful is their paper doily ceremony backdrop?
From the bride, Bridgette: We envisioned a very romantic and rustic feel. We wanted it to be elegant and comfortable — charming, classic, collected. Our color scheme was sun bleached peach, pistachio, and champagne. DIY projects included hand-made doily and butcher twine garland, eclectic napkins, and the rustic lawn games.
Flower recipe: Bride’s bouquet was white anemones, lamb’s ear, and silver brunia berry. Bridesmaids were pink astilbes.

From the photographer, Sarah Rose Burns Photography: This real wedding took place on the beautiful grounds of Lyons Farmette in Colorado this summer. The combination of vintage details designed by Feather & Twig, with the lush gardens and lively farmette, made for an incredibly enjoyable affair. Bridgette & Hoyt knew from the beginning that they wanted an intimate outdoor gathering, with stylish details and incredible food. Their team of vendors fulfilled all the requirements and the guests partied late into the night. Fun fact: it was the night of a “super-moon” so we also got some portraits in the moonlight.

I love the simplicity and old fashioned feeling of this wedding! Absolutely beautiful!
I have been trying to replicate your backdrop made from doilies for Mr daughter’s wedding & they keep sliding down the thread. Can you share how it was constructed? Thank you.
