We know you’ll want to take a gander at this bohemian midcentury wedding inspiration with colorblock pops of cobalt and orange. An Austin wedding location for the books, this intimate space is made even more idyllic by the wild flowers, delectable treats and sweetheart table with texture that reaches the heavens. You’ll be thankful you stumbled upon these unique wedding designs loaded with inspiration, and we’ll join you in a renewed floral frenzy after taking a peek at this gallery below!
When you peruse through the photos by Kayla Snell, you’ll find an unparalleled shoot of bright colors, muted tones and elegantly-made blooms. Be still our beating hearts!
And if you ever wondered what a moody and ethereal wedding would look like with hints of modernity, this wedding inspiration created by Texas event designer, Bird Dog Wedding is it.
From the event designers, Bird Dog Wedding: Tucked away in East Austin, between local coffee shops and off-beat food trucks, sits a hidden, idyllic space called 1102 East. The venue features a cozy bungalow and modern industrial details with a bohemian flair throughout. After stumbling upon it one Saturday afternoon, we knew it was the perfect place for our midcentury modern bohemian styled shoot.
Photographer Kayla Snell and I teamed up to create a colorful, fun wedding with the hope of inspiring modern, bohemian brides who are currently planning weddings for this fall.
Brightly colored, hand-painted stationery details complemented a bold, black envelope designed by Goldie Design Co.
Our bride Dagny Hines was all dolled up with a loose updo from Kristi Drake and a moody makeup look created by Lauren Davis at Hint of Shimmer.
OH. EM. GEE! Just look at this perfect dog of honor.
Valerie Wolf at Davy Gray created the perfect floral hairpiece that Dagny could easily wear all night long.
Dagny wore an ethereal, silk dress from Saint Isabel that featured beaded and lace sleeves and a gorgeous open back.
Groom Casey Vanderstoep was dressed to the nines in a navy suit and striped shirt and tie from ByGeorge Austin. His casual, comfortable suit is a must-have for a low key Austin wedding.
A wild, asymmetrical bouquet created by Davy Gray was full of lush blooms and greenery and sprinkled with colorful wildflowers – the perfect mix for any Austin bride.
The cozy, sweetheart table designed by Carmen Collins at Bird Dog Wedding featured rentals from Loot Vintage Rentals, bohemian tropical paper goods and a large, floral centerpiece. Colored taper candles and sheepskin throws added a fun flair to the clean tablescape, as tall, wicker cobra chairs were decorated with asymmetrical floral swags.
Dagny and Casey snacked on sweet treats from Walton’s Fancy & Staple, a local Austin bakery and café owned by Sandra Bullock. Walton’s is most notably known for their buttery golden eggs and large assortment of flavorful macarons.
Love the colorful happiness of this shoot, and Paddington the Dood! Great job, Carmen and team!
