Chic Autumn Wedding in Pennsylvania

Put together a bride and groom who share a love for football, a “vintage chic” wedding theme, and a navy and gold color palette, and you have this beautiful modern wedding in Pennsylvania. Veronica Varos Photography and Garnish Event Design are sharing their gorgeous work on Lauren and Scott’s wedding day, which is filled to the brim with sweet ideas and totally enviable details.

From the bride, Lauren: Our theme is ‘vintage chic’ and our colors are navy and old gold. Scott is a PITT Alum, and I am a WVU Alum so the navy/gold was a no-brainer for our color scheme. Football is a HUGE part of our life and my family’s life revolved around the WVU football schedule growing up. So adding touches of the “Backyard Brawl” here and there is a must.

Scott is the most kind hearted, fun loving man I’ve ever met. He truly is one in a million!! We really put SO MANY hours into this day, down to every last detail (as you hopefully will be able to see!). I have heard so many horror stories about wedding planning and the stress of it, but as soon as we got engaged I started looking into things. Pinterest is both amazing and incredibly hard to compete with. A few months into planning, I came across a wonderful article about “Pinterest Weddings” and how they aren’t real. “That floral wall? That cost thousands and was meticulously constructed for a high end magazine photo shoot. These weddings are realistic, because they aren’t weddings!” — that’s when I decided, I am going to limit my crafting, and pick a few must have details and let the rest be done for me. The whole process has been so much fun and although I’ve loved every minute, I can’t wait to see it all come together and then GO ON OUR HONEYMOON! (Note from photographer: They went to Bora Bora! The photos you see of her looking surprised mid-way through the set are the images taken the very moment Scott told her they were going to Bora Bora in front of all of their friends and family!).
