Boho Glam Wedding in Colorado
One of our favorite venue ideas for a wedding ceremony is the amphitheater — and Boulder’s Sunrise Amphitheater overlooks the city, making it the most perfectly romantic spot for Christine and Patrick to exchange their vows. They just celebrated their first anniversary, so we couldn’t think of a better time to share than today. Talented vendors Cyn Kain Photography, Calluna Events, and Cori Cook Floral Design collaborated to bring this duo’s vision to life for a day that included live music, breathtaking views, and a bit of boho glam flair.
From the bride, Christine: Patrick and I met in Boulder and this town has become a part of us and our story so it was an easy decision to decide to have our wedding in Boulder as well. Despite boasting 300 days of sunshine in Colorado, the weather can be fairly unpredictable. The infamous 500-year flood happened exactly one year before our wedding weekend, and we actually got a dusting of snow on the Friday before our wedding day, then magically… we woke up to a beautiful, sunny day to say our I do’s. And that’s the word I would use to describe our wedding day. Magical.
The weather could not have been more perfect for our ceremony at Sunrise Amphitheater overlooking the town of Boulder. A very good friend of ours and one of Patrick’s groomsmen added the the ultimate personal touch to our ceremony with an acoustic version of Bob Dylan’s “Make You Feel My Love.” The ballroom at the St. Julien was exceptionally beautiful with an amazing wall of light that brought so much warmth to the room and complimented the florals so perfectly. The music was a major focal point of the day for Patrick and I. We share a love of live music and wanted to do something different in that regard. We hired This Must be The Band and danced the night away to the music of the Talking Heads with our closest friends and family. It was unforgettable.
Favorite moment: Patrick actually told me the day after our wedding that the most emotional moment of the day for him was, surprisingly, the confetti toss – which instantly made it my favorite moment. It was truly overwhelming to be welcomed into our cocktail hour for our first dance to the excited and supportive cheers from all of our friends and family. We could literally feel the love surrounding us.
Thanks for featuring our sweet sweet couple – cannot believe this was a year ago. Christine and Patrick planned a gorgeous event that reflected them in every way – and such a fun celebration of their love! 🙂
