Austin Spring Wedding Inspiration
One of our favorite things about this styled shoot from the wonderful Photo by Betsy, Bricolage Curated Florals, and Olive & Rye is how it shows you don’t need a ton of color to give off a feeling of spring. Sure, we love loud punches of color, but the crisp white and green color palette in this wedding inspiration makes us feel refreshed, inspired, and helps us focus on the love between the bride and groom.
From the photographer, Photo by Betsy: This Nordic-inspired Spring shoot was brought on simply by the idea of a “simple” wedding. I wanted to photograph something clean, sweet, and clear. For place mats, we gathered white/off-white records. The place “cards” are found river rocks marked just by using a white sharpie paint pen tied with a thin piece of twine around them for a simple frill. 2Tarts Bakery in New Braunfels contributed a smooth two-tiered white cake, creme brûlée macaroons and jam thumbprint cookies (placed on a vintage hand drum).
With a flower-adorned passed-down ladder and old photos of family members in love, we tied in personal touches. For smaller details, the bride wore a brown beaded belt from Anthropologie and the groom wore a precious ivory whale tie clip from J. Crew. We had so much fun celebrating the couple’s love and gawking at every simple touch from the shoot’s designer.
