Austin Botanical Inspired Shoot
If Bird Dog Wedding is going to branch into floral styling, you can bet your bottom dollar they’re going to throw a killer shoot together to celebrate. Bird Dog Florals is coming into the world with a bang, as you can see from this amazing session shot by Amber Snow Photography! Don’t these images make you want to fill your entire home with fresh flowers?
From the event stylist, Emily of Bird Dog Wedding: At Bird Dog Wedding, we have always loved producing colorful and fun designs for our clients. We wanted to introduce floral services into the mix, as we feel flowers are the most beautiful and captivating part of the design aesthetic. Sarah and I dreamt up this shoot to promote our floral launch and introduce Bird Dog Floral to the world. We wanted to keep the shoot simple with one tablescape, one cake table, and one model to focus on the flowers. In this shoot we showcase the Bird Dog aesthetic, which is rich, playful, colorful, and full of texture and personality. The transition of the design moves from dark to light, with a moodier tablescape to a light and ethereal cake display. In the tradition of creating gorgeous installations, we built a living garland frame for the cake. We kept our bride’s hair simple and undone to show off her gold fern and strawflower crown, with striking makeup and a mod lace dress.
We teamed up with our wonderful vendor friends to put the icing on the cake, so to speak. Loot Vintage Rentals provided the gorgeous furniture for display. Polkadots made a sweet pink cake, which we adorned with a gold fern. Palm Door on Sabine provided the perfect setting, with its white walls and industrial fixtures. And Amber Snow Photography beautifully captured the shoot on film. Trophy Boutique and Maris Malone Calderon Makeup Artistry provided fashion styling and makeup for our model, Katy.
