An Engagement Session in the Bride’s Grandmother’s Dress
For their engagement session, that was captured by Alixann Loosle Photography, the bride and groom-to-be–Kaleigh and Christopher–pulled out some of their finest closet picks and frolicked in beautiful Salt Lake City weather and scenery. The sweetest fixture in their entire engagement shoot (besides those lovely cherry blossoms, of course) is the addition of the bride’s second outfit change, which was a dress that belonged to her grandmother. Let’s take a look:
From the photographer, Alixann Loosle Photography: I’d love to share some lovely, classically beautiful, cherry blossom engagement photos that I shot. I love that the second dress that the bride-to-be wore was her grandma’s. She used to play dress-up with it when she was young!
Natural outdoor engagement sessions can create some of the most beautiful pictures we’ve seen. It’s the natural light, it’s the landscapes, and the fresh air, we think! Like all the other engagement session ideas, couples can infuse so much of their personalities and tastes into sessions like these. For engagement sessions that take place outdoors in nature, adding a delicate floral crown like this bride-to-be did pulls in the surroundings into her look. Plus floral crowns are just adorable.
If you have a dress tucked away in your closet that you’d love to wear for your wedding festivities but aren’t sure which festivity to choose, why not wear it for your engagement session? Outfit changes are common for photo sessions like these and we love that this particular shoot had a dress in it with some sweet history attached to it.
