Ambrosial, Industrial Dinner Party With Floral Clouds

If you were wondering what Heaven looks like, we’re pretty sure it’s close to this industrial dinner party for creatives designed by Jove Meyer Events. We’re not sure where the babies breath clouds start and the crystal chandeliers end, but one thing is for certain… we just can’t look away from these images by Amber Gress Photography! Menus are graced with watercolor brushstrokes, minimal yet artsy florals appear sculpture-like across the tables, and a canopy of lights plays wonderfully opposite the acrylic chairs and place cards at each setting. So prepare to be whisked away into (Pinterest) Heaven at least!

From the stylist, Jove Meyer Events: I founded the planners dining club in 2014 as a way to gather planners together to foster community and experience caterers and or restaurants first hand so we could best recommend them to our clients with confidence. Since it started with an intimate tasting with six planners in 2014 it has grown to fully produced events showcasing a new venue, caterer, florist, photographer and other vendors at each event.

I plan and design each event based on the season, space and creative partners we have on the team. I aim to push the envelope of design and love getting to be creative without limits.

The planners dining club at the green building was part of their week-long wedding vendor event – the love union. Megan from The Green Building reached out to ask if we could partner to plan a dinner and my response was 100% yes! Having worked at The Green Building many times I was so excited to create something new there and lights played the key role in the design.

I wanted to make the large space feel intimate for the 50 guests in attendance and the draped lights I designed really did that. The lights were hung at the very top of the building showcasing the height of the venue and then it draped down to the floor at each break in the tables so we were literally dining under and inside a curtain of lights!

The menu was inspired by the founder of Poppy’s recent trip to Morocco, and was so delicious.

The flower design was inspired by the dry plants and leaves of fall I saw on Fire Island and Buds of Brooklyn did an AMAZING job bringing it all together and we dined under their custom-made babies breath clouds!
