An Italian Palazzo Wedding with a Brilliant Autumn Palette and Renaissance Romanticism

Autumn Wedding Inspiration Italian Palazzo

There’s a reason why Lizzie McGuire chose the land of pasta e formaggio over the waterslide wonderland… and not just because Italian pop stars named Paolo might be at the ready with vespas, dance classes (and hidden agendas). The truth is, Italy is steeped in history and Old World romance that simply has to be experienced at least once in your life. So it’s no surprise that this Italian palazzo wedding inspiration in fifty shades of autumn brought us to our knees in amazement. From the moody portraits surrounded by Renaissance art to the candlelit cake moment beneath an exquisite colonnade, Italian photographer Giacomo Terracciano envelopes us in a storybook romance we simply can’t look away from.

Led by Natascia Zignani Weddings, the creative team highlighted the noteworthy architectural moments of the historic Italian palazzo through clever lighting, complementary colors and wild tangles of blooms from Valentina Battistini. Outfitting the al fresco dinner table were calligraphed linen menus, twisted taper candles, petite matte black table lamps and cloud-dipped flatware… all from the clever mind of Stilelibero Wedding Design!

We are overjoyed to finally be revealing this Italian palazzo wedding in all its tender, rich and fashion-forward glory with you today! So without further ado… andiamo.

From the Planner, Natascia Zignani Weddings: For the Styled Shoot we drew inspiration from the colours of fall: the shooting was realized at Villa Imperiale, Pesaro, an amazing Renaissance-style location encircled by nature.

The modern handwriting of the wedding stationery perfectly matches with the typical chromatic palette of fall’s colours: mustard-yellow silk, ochre Nappa, and an handmade golden envelop decorated with the symbol of the Villa.

The celebration is held in the Roveresco courtyard, in which wedding ceremonies had already been held during the XV-XVI Centuries. The asymmetric floral decoration is both modern and romantic: flower arrangements are not too structured, as to recall the natural style that circles and characterizes this historic italian Villa.

As for the bride, she is wearing a Vera Wang Dress (model Alizee) with a corset made of crepe marocaine and a tulle gown of silk. Her shoes are Lesilla’s, and they are decorated with Swarowski. As for the groom, He is wearing a black tuxedo Made in Italy by Tagliatore.

The bride’s outfit is enriched with diamond jewels of highly refined manufacture, as well as the groom’s cufflinks.

The indoor halls are decorated with frescos dating the XVI Century and realized by scholars of the well-known italian painter Raffaello. These frescos, together with the panoramic balcony, create a majestic atmosphere and offer the perfect spot for the couple most-intimate shots.

The dining table is placed inside the architecture of the location, surrounded by bright fall colors. It is positioned under a round arch, which is fully decorated with American grapevine that explodes in the shades of intense red during fall.

The couple change their outfits for the wedding dinner, and they chose a more minimal and elegant style. The bride is again wearing a Vera Wang Dress in crepe marocaine with a rigid corset and tulle sleeves (model Mylene).

The dining table is decorated with the typical colours of the autumn palette. The presence of stylistic details harmoniously blended with more modern details is definitely remarkable. Service plates are the work of artisans, and they are made of white porcelain decorated with shiny golden details. In front of each plate elegant placeholders are put, together with the menus, written on handmade paper. Medallion Louis-style chairs are made of hardwood, and they harmonically match with the metal lamps.

The cake cutting is held inside the colonnaded atrium, which is wisely lightened to highlight the architectural game of the columns. The cake is decorated with golden details, and it is placed on a table enriched with flowers and golden-finishes macarons, and lightened by the light of candles.
