From the planner, Luxe Events : Sarah and Scott were scheduled to marry with friends and family in Hawaii, but after 2 pandemic-induced postponements pivoted to San Diego. They wanted to keep the tropical and bright aesthetic they had planned for Hawaii but give it an elegant twist, so they kept whimsical elements like the capiz shell curtain at their ceremony and paired it with glamorous chairs and a mirrored tabletop for their reception.

Using traditional elegance as their design guide, the vision of tropical paradise was woven throughout the reception with polished golds and layered place settings. These were paired with colorful florals that were lush and whimsical. Their wedding had just 8 guests total, including themselves, so they dined intimately al fresco.
