Northern California Wedding in Shades of Terracotta & Blue
Inspired by the colorful summery vibes of Palm Springs, Rebecca & Chris planned the party of the century with the help of Jenn Robirds Events. With cheery colored roses and dahlias in shades of pink, peach, yellow, terracotta and blue, this Northern California wedding is working like a magic potion to cure our Monday blues. Ashley Baumgartner was there to capture every tender moment and gorgeous detail, and I only wish I was also sipping on peach sangria while scrolling through these photos!
From the photographer, Ashley Baumgartner: When Rebecca and Chris began planning their wedding they described the affair as “a party with all of our closest friends and family where we just happen to get married.” With that goal in mind they hired Jenn Robirds Events who got to work planning a relaxed summer soirée. Rebecca fell in love with a vivid sunset color palette accented with navy blue. The playful colors created a joyful Palm Springs vibe at their garden style venue situated in the hills of Northern California.
A simple ceremony under Gold Hill Gardens’ signature oak tree provided an intimate setting for Rebecca and Chris to share their vows with one another, after approaching an aisle lined with pampas grass and delicate hand fans for each guest to enjoy. After a romantic ceremony full of family participation, the sweet bride Rebecca changed into a stunning gold sequin reception dress and it was time for the party to begin!
During a cool and sleek poolside cocktail hour, guests sipped on the couple’s refreshing signature peach sangria created by Firefly Event Staffing. Bridesmaids adorned in terra-cotta colored gowns enjoyed a quick feet dip in the pool before heading to the reception.
Building on a fun nod to Palm Springs, playful elements like pampas grass in the florals and leather ties on the water color menus from Epoch Design pulled the look together. The escort display was comprised of glazed ceramic pots with single stem blooms in each and guests names by table in a relaxed font. Das Bus vintage photo bus had guests climbing in and striking a pose all night.
The groom was very specific that a formal menu simply would not do, so Jenn Robirds Events enlisted food trucks to create a one-of-a-kind menu. A taco truck to make Chris’ wedding food dreams come true, and rustic wood fired pizzas for Rebecca. Wood fired late night s’mores along with wedding cake were the perfect mix of modern and tradition: just what the couple wanted.
Gold Hill Garden’s patio was lined with rustic farm tables and rounds covered in La Tavola’s newest fabric Freya in sapphire, a fun and funky pattern to liven up the event. From colorful linen napkins and indigo goblets to the bright and bountiful centerpieces floral design by Florals by Alana Marie, the whole night was nothing short of perfect. Overlooking the patio stood the unique cake display that tied in the couple’s blue and terra-cotta color palette together created by Go West Baking Events.
The sunset color palette with pops of blue and terracotta in this breathtaking Northern California wedding made us do a double-take. California is filled with gorgeous wedding venues like this garden wedding!
