Urban Garden Wedding Inspiration in an Industrial Loft
Exposed brick, feathery grasses, geometric lanterns… you had us at urban garden wedding inspiration! Floor to ceiling windows with bold frames are juxtaposed with softer textures of moss and wheat in the ceremony backdrop, set before an audience of modern ghost chairs. And while this contemporary aisle soaked up a flooding of natural light, the reception table grew rich with textures from velvet to marble to depression glass. With three bridal gowns featuring patterned lace, floral embroidery and flirty fringe, there is so much goodness in store for any couple looking to level up the edge on their wedding in the city.
Ruffled member, Designs by Ahn, scattered pretty pink anthuriums throughout the scene, adding an avant-garde chicness to the industrial loft scene.
From event designer, Sophie Mae of Stylish Details Events:This styled wedding photo-shoot was inspired by the mid-century design of 501 Union. This Brooklyn venue is a hot spot for couples who are looking for a unique and stylish space to say “I do” while skipping the bustle of the city. I wanted to highlight the industrial vibe of the venue while incorporating the soft color tones of the moment, and I chose some of the best vendors from the East and West Coast to execute the vision!
The editorial was captured by Brooklyn local Sarah Joan of Sara Joan Studio. Her photography style was perfect for the overall look and feel of the shoot, which was classic with a modern edge. The highlight film was shot by Emma of Emma Lynn Cinema We love how Emma brought the shoot to life in her film!

We partnered with the wonderful ladies of Designs by Ahn, the Manhattan-based florist who specializes in intricate and whimsical designs. We loved how she mixed classic floral selections with unexpected blooms to create a unique tablescape that offered outside of the box “wow factor”. We opted for ice grey velvet linen from Luxe Linen to add texture to the tabletop rentals provided by Signature Party Rentals.
The marble table was custom designed by the talented team at RentQuest NYC. They also provided the dreamy velvet chairs which complimented the tableware to perfection. We especially loved the handcrafted menus and place cards created by Emily of Eclaire Paperie.
