Indie Joshua Tree Elopement with Two Grooms
Tender, intimate and quintessentially romantic, today’s indie Joshua Tree elopement possesses enough sweetness to make you cry a river. Julian and Brandon shared their vows in this beige desert scene, surrounded by such bohemian details as fringed rugs, pale antlers and textured robes. Jubilation is infectious as you browse their elopement gallery, and these two grooms are sure to make your day brighter!
Destination wedding photographer, Serena Genovese Photography, boasts exquisite images every day of the week. But there’s just something about these two + their undeniable perfection for each other that gives us all the warm fuzzies.
Sacred Romance Floral curated artful desert blooms for their personalized boutonnieres and wedding flowers. Billy balls, spray roses, berries and succulents to name a few! You just might lose it when you see the pretty little bud vases scattering their reception table.
In the same vein, their stationery suite + handwritten vows from Inkdrops and Roses capture that “meant to be feeling” in the best kind of way.
And isn’t this handmade ring from My Golden Age Lab an absolute treasure?
From the photographer, Serena Genovese Photography: To meet at a coffee shop. How 2010, right? That is how the love story of Julian and Brandon began. Back on a gloomy Thursday in October 2016, around 3:45 in the afternoon these two human beings met for the first time to share some hot chocolate and a three hour long conversation about life. After that, they went on three consecutive dates the following days, and have been inseparable ever since. A textbook definition of the rule “opposites attract”, they support each other, growing together and learning from one another every day as they get ready to take the next step in their lives.

Their romantic vows:
From Julian: “Brandon, mi vida, the first time I looked you in the eyes, those blue eyes, oh how I liked them –because I’ve always had a thing for bright eyes–, I knew who you were. I knew immediately that you were transparent and pure and that there was nothing I could not see or feel when looking at you. That’s not an easy find.
Then you took me on a walk, and our feet touched the ground as if they were in sync. I knew it would be hard for us to trip, but if we did, you’d had the strength needed to catch my humanity in your arms.
After that, your perfect smile caught my eye. The smile that may be awkward in photographs, but that warms my heart and all my being when it happens naturally.
From the first moment, without knowing who I was, you took care of me, cuddled me and protected me so much that it seemed too perfect.
One day I called you “Mi Cielo”, like the skies and the heavens, maybe because that’s what you turned into: what I see everyday, what covers me, the one thing that is always there. What I see before I fall asleep, and the first thing I see when I wake up. I admire you. In you I find my home, my peace, my tranquillity and my being. In you I find myself, and I promise to always be there for you when you need help reaching higher, when you need an extra step to stand on or a tighter hug to keep you from shadows.
I love you, I understand you, and I will be there for you… always and in all ways.”
From Brandon:“Julito, life is full of uncertainties. Nothing really ever works out the way you think it will, but there is a beauty in that. These unknowns are what make life exciting and worth living. No matter where life takes us, I am elated to know that we will face it together. I am stronger when I hold your hand. I am braver when you are by my side. I am wiser when I listen to you. I can’t wait to spend the rest of our lives growing together. I will always be there for you. Always and in All Ways. “
The Hi Desert played host to their intimate dinner following the ceremony, and you’d be right to assume this private micro resort has a reputation for coziness.
With mauve + navy suits from Zara and accessories from The Grooms Day, their impeccable fashion continues to wow us with every frame.
Glamuraii made sure these grooms were in tip-top shape for their big day, with gorgeous locks we’ll be admiring forever.
As the name suggests, these patterned robes from Rare af Couture are an 8th wonder of the world. What. A. Wow. Factor.
