Family Christmas Session with Giant Wreath and DIY Gift Wrap

Oh, it’s finally Friday! And we’re not ending this week without giving you a sweet taste of a family Christmas session. With the giant wreath backdrop and DIY gift wrap idea, this one is going to be special. We’re meaning to share this idea for the moms out there who are looking for a cute family picture inspiration this coming holidays. Get ready to be a little creative, too because you can literally make your own backdrop using a giant hula-hoop and here’s our own version of giant Christmas wreaths for the idea. And for that chic looking props, gift wrappers with handpainted ribbons are a must-have. Ready to have a fun-filled family Christmas sesh? So are we!

From the photographer, Tina Chiou: This submission is Christmas themed. I wanted to create this awesome giant wreath for a backdrop, the wreath is made by Bat Country Floral Design. You can DIY it with a big hula hoop. It’d be a great backdrop for a party or decoration. There’s a DIY wrapping idea. Instead of using ribbons, you would paint ribbons on and it’d look so chic and minimal! We had a lemon-pear cake prepared and the recipe is by Eva Kosmas Flores on Adventures in Cooking. Recipe included if you need it!

Being creatives in this industry we wanted to send a little creativity and show a few great DIYs. So I gathered Bat Country Design and Arina B Photography’s beautiful family to set up this shoot. Bat Country, Jess, had a great idea to use hula hoops as a base for a giant wreath. Once you hang it up, it’s a great Instagram worthy backdrop for all your party needs! That’s where Arina’s beautiful family comes in and demonstrate how rad the setup is.

Sometimes we struggle with wrapping a present but this time, you don’t even need all the frills. Painting on the ribbon is one of the most creative ways to wrap a present. It’s minimal, stylish, and it isn’t wasteful!
