Classical and Contemporary Tablescape with Striking Black Details
Less is certainly more in this contemporary tablescape with bold black hues. We’re ready to be swept away in the romance of it all, and the little voice in our heads saying “take me, I’m yours!” could not be louder. Flickering candles light the space with an airy ambiance and mysterious glow we’re dying to see more of. So get cozy, cause you’re not gonna want to look away anytime soon.

From the photographer, Cecelina Photography: Black has always made a statement; whether it’s our trusty LBD or our favourite pair of heels, it’s our ‘safe’ option that without a doubt features in every woman’s wardrobe one way or another. So why is it that black feels that little bit more daring when incorporated into a wedding?
For this inspirational shoot we wanted to show that modern trends can be beautifully intertwined with tradition to produce a stylish, sophisticated event. Chichester Guildhall provided the perfect classical venue for the basis of the shoot. Authentic, stonewashed walls formed the backdrop for our minimal set up, and became our color inspiration – idyllic with the bold, statement black.
A clean, contemporary feel was at the forefront of our design inspiration, so details such as table decor, and stationery were kept minimal and fresh. Similarly, with a nod to fashionable grazing tables, we used the venue’s natural features to create a food display instead of the more traditional cocktail hour or wedding cake.
The whole concept of the inspiration shoot centered around less is more. Daring tones and modern simplicity mixed with archetypal traditions to produce an inspirational setting.
