Claire Pettibone Spring 2019 Bridal Collection: “The White Album”
A first for colorful wedding dress designer Claire Pettibone, this spring 2019 bridal collection features a monochromatic palette of white and ivory. Obvious color choices for most, it’s a step in a new direction for Claire who took inspiration from purity and simplicity. An absence of color, so that the focus remains entirely on the silhouettes, textures and details. We’re kind of crazy about these couture pieces in romantic shades of pearl and ivory, and we know you will be too!
Shangri-la makes quite the statement, with embroidered details escaping from the sheer, pooled train. Mesmerizing blooms decorate the illusion back, so for any of you garden brides, this one just might be worth a bookmark. Such a playful take on pattern + texture mixing!
In the Sahara gown, we spy intricate lace detailing across the bodice, skirt and illusion sleeves. Bell sleeves are certainly on the up + up, and Claire’s unique take on the look with this light and airy tulle has whisked us into a dream.
Lily seems like the perfect ensemble for all you boho brides who’d like a nod to flowy 70’s fashion. Or even brides with more of a fine art with the sleek silhouette cascading like a perfect waterfall. How unique are those circular embroidered cutouts at the elbows!
And then there was Lotus, with its come hither backless silhouette and intricate embroidery to pull you in closer. 10/10 would recommend.
Appropriately named Gypsy Moon, this look features a floral cape inspired by the moon goddess herself with shimmering sequins and soft layers of tulle.
In summary, Claire Pettibone is never one to sacrifice an opportunity for detail. The only question we have for her is how many looks are appropriate for a wedding? One for every hour? Because I’m not so sure we could choose between these intricately designed stunners. Could you?!
