Moody Black Tie Wedding with Deconstructed Florals
The romantic deconstructed florals aren’t the only notable thing about Madison and Kolohe ’s moody black tie wedding in San Clemente. It’s clear in these images from JC Guzman Wedding Photography that party was the word of the day, and we’re not sure if we’ve seen such contagious joy across not only the couple, but their guests too! We’re bringing back the phrase on fleek to describe Madison’s free-spirited lace wedding dress, and you’re sure to love the string light + greenery details this celebration.
From the planner, Laura of Perfectly Poised Events: With our theme being Moody Black Tie, it was important to carry this vibe throughout the entire day – down to every tiny detail.
All guests arrived dressed to the nines in black tie attire, and decor was set to match. White pillar candles lined the aisle that lead to a romantic ceremony backdrop of lush blooms and historic white stone fireplace.
Guest tables were adorned with gold flatware, black taper candles, custom menus and soft grey linen. The luxurious head table was drenched in deconstructed blooms and an array of pillar candles all paired with a dark grey velvet linen. Vintage lounge decor lined the room and set the mood for our avant-garde evening in The Casino’s renowned grand ballroom.
From the florist, Bloom Babes: Working with our lovely Bride Madison and the ladies of Perfectly Poised Events was a dream. They came our way with a very romantic, moody vision and were flexible to our floral suggestions! Lush and organic textures combined with the romantic shades of blush, and burgundy created a fun floral palette for us to work with. Our favorite focal points of the night were her stunning garden bouquet of all lush garden roses and draping jasmine (grown in our own backyard), Madison let us take the reigns on this and let us go big and bold for her bouquet! We also loved the head table runner which was a dense garland of deconstructed roses in varying shades of blush and burgundy, this is a more difficult style to describe to clients so we were excited that she was open to trust us- and the results were stunning, staying true to the lush and effortless vibe of the wedding, we really felt like this was the perfect display. Garden vines were draping across the the Casino ballroom, and a hanging floral installation of greenery vines and burgundy roses hung above the sweetheart table. Such a fun, romantic, organic floral wedding!
Custom signage was seen throughout the evening with beautiful hand written calligraphy & artwork by Bevy & Brine. The Groom’s one request was to make food a priority – so that is what we did! After enjoying cocktails & almost too-pretty-to-eat hor dourves, guests made their way to the giant place card display instructing them to “Take a Seat, Lets EAT”.
Dinner was served with flare as guests were released by different Songs – listed at the bottom of their table numbers and interactive food stations including gourmet mashed potatoes and grilled flatbreads waited to be customized. The drool-worthy menu continued into desserts with hand-spun organic Cotton Candy and a warm chocolate chip cookies & ice cream sundae bar! – I know, YUM!
Madison & Kolohe ended what was quite possibly- the best day ever – with a killer dance party amongst all of their loved ones.
