Today’s DC wedding inspiration is brought to us by our own CM Events, who employed a modern metallic palette to create a chic fete we’re just dying to share. Abstract lines and acrylic details are met with soft textures of silk and velvet, and can we talk for a minute about the bride’s bold gowns? From the stylist, Candice of CM Events: This winter wedding styled shoot that took place at the dining destination, Dirty Habit, in Washington D.C. is packed with fashion, bold colors, creative details and modern touches. The color palette includes black, reds, fuchsia and different textures such as silk napkins, velvet linen and black acrylic menu cards/stationery/signage. The two different bridal looks included, Ravini “XOXO” layered tissue organza ball skirt featuring high slit and beading on the sheer bodice. The gorgeous sequin gown with low back is Theia “Lenni”. Badgley Mischka strappy metallic heeled sandals and chic black fur heeled sandals with a burgundy velvet clutch completed the bridal looks. The flowers included a variety of deep red roses, orchids, mini callas, and other flowers that provided tons of texture. The ceremony decor accented with beautiful flowers, sheer draping and glass teardrop votives. The beauty included a smokey eye and “beautiful smooth skin” ( what the MUA calls it) makeup look with a low bun.

The stationery suite is filled with so many details such as gold metallic accents, custom envelope that was inspired by a clutch purse, name tags, and black acrylic invitation. The welcome boxes included Voss waters, cookies in the shape of the white house, mini champagne and a black scarf. The welcome acrylic sign was also custom made by With Wild and Grace and suspended from a custom metal pipe stand with white lettering. The groom wore a Lapel brand black tux and the boutonnieres were accented with gold pins and black ribbon. The Dining table includes dark gray velvet, shantung napkins, gold rim charger, black and clear glassware, gold cutlery and for a modern and unique touch, black acrylic sheets were transformed into menu cards and engraved with guests names. The black cake was accented with elegant and very realistic handmade sugar flowers such as peonies. The bride wore an emerald cut Susie Saltzman ring with gold band. The lounge area was accented with posh and fashionable throw pillows, red rose centerpieces with votives and a gorgeous light bulb light fixture. Popular drinks which included custom drink stirrers in the couples initials and dishes from the venue completed the shoot.
