Backyard Nashville Wedding
When Katy and Gavin thought about where to exchange their wedding vows, the place that stuck out the most to them was also the most personal: a Victorian home at which they’d spent a great deal of time already with friends and loved ones. Brandon Chesbro came along to capture the day’s festivities, including a backyard ceremony and an indoor feast! Our favorite detail of their wedding? The couple displayed postcards Gavin wrote to Katy over the course of their relationship for all to enjoy!
From the bride, Katy: [The style we envisioned for our wedding was] intimate, non-traditional, Southern-Victorian style set to a classical score. Lots of soft pastels, with an eclectic, casual, vintage feel.
Everything was DIY. This wedding was made possible by friends lending a creative helping hand. The bride and a bridesmaid did all the decorating. We made all the streamers and flower arrangements by hand. The artwork and decor were provided by our friends.
The groom lived in an old Victorian style house with his band mates. It was quite a memorable spot in Nashville where everyone hung out and where so much creativity had taken place. It seemed fitting to get married in the back yard.
Any advice for brides planning their weddings now? Keep it simple. This is your day, so try not to stress more than necessary about what others want. Have fun and keep it affordable!

So amazing! I love how much of their personality reflects in the wedding day decor. The rugs down the isle stuck out as so neat to me. I love the soft pinks too! 🙂

The groom seems a little tense… it’s his big day~! : )
An exquisite wedding even though in the backyard garden…what an astounding view bouquet.
What’s the name of the bouquet in the groom’s hand? It is white and attractive.
