Modern Organic Wedding Inspiration with Greenery
Modern, organic, and with a bit of bohemian flair, this styled shoot from Kristen Weaver Photography and Lee James Floral has us captivated. Green, grey, and gold become neutrals, giving the shoot an overall minimalist feel — and of course the off-the-shoulder Sarah Seven gown never fails to wow us!
From Lexie Haugen and Racheal Fan, interns at Kristen Weaver Photography: As we were planning this shoot, we found inspiration in natural elements, such as woods, metals, and stones. We wanted to find a way to gracefully incorporate these into a wedding theme for our final internship project. With different mixed metals and stone pieces, we needed a way to incorporate greenery into our shoot. Lee James Floral design created some beautiful, inspired pieces that really brought in the earthy feel to our style. Our favorite piece of his was the bouquet, which was created in a gold geometric shape for the bride to hold, which beautifully incorporated the metallic palette into the florals.
Our bride’s natural, dewy, makeup and her gold headpiece and belt, brought a bohemian feel. Especially incorporated with her flowing Sarah Seven dress, the pieces created a well-rounded look that matched our theme. For our groom, we incorporated velvet with his blazer and bow tie to offset him using textures from the industrial vibes of the shoot. With our natural elements, we also wanted to incorporate a bohemian vibe to complement the stone textures. Along with the greenery, the handmade fringe backdrop and the handmade macrame chandelier brought in that bohemian feeling. The trinkets, Edison light bulbs, and dishware found at Anthropologie, Urban Outfitters, and Ikea created a tablescape we felt incorporated every element of our vision.
