Wintry North Carolina Mountaintop Wedding
Spring, summer, and fall weddings are all amazing in their own way, but doesn’t there seem to be some sort of special charm specific to winter weddings? Just take a peep at the wedding of Dez and Josh, photographed by Live View Studios and planned in North Carolina by Southern Roots Events. We love that the couple threw in some nods to viking culture to tie in to the colder weather!
From the photographer, Live View Studios: Dez & Josh were married at the chilly mountaintop Twickenham House in North Carolina. Dez wore a beautiful custom dress, originally purchased from ASOS and altered by a local seamstress with detail and sleeves to match! Their day was papered with personal details and custom touches: the bride’s cousin baked and decorated their rustic berry-topped cake, the bride herself wore intricately carved beads in her hair, she also spray-painted the bottles in their centerpieces herself and a friend provided the animal skulls for their tables to match the viking-inspired decor.
The cold had rolled in on their wedding day, but we couldn’t help but be warmed by their tender affection for one another–made apparent by their pre-ceremony prayer and the way Josh wept as his bride walked down the isle! Once their union was made official, they retreated indoors for an epic dance party before Josh carried his bride through their sparkler exit and into the rest of their lives!
