Dallas Spring Wedding
With the incredible team of vendors this Dallas wedding has, it’s no wonder it’s such a stunner. It’s the nuptials ofApryl Ann, who you may also know as an incredible photographer! The floral arrangements from Bows and Arrows are making our heads spin with their beauty, the darling stationery from Southern Fried Paper is just breathtaking, and the images from Squaresville Studios capture every detail to perfection. And then there’s bride Apryl’s wedding gown… just amazing.
From the bride, Apryl: From all the big decisions to the all the little decisions that go into planning one of the happiest days of our lives Jon and I had the main priority of taking things slow. We wanted to really soak in the day and enjoy every minute and every detail.
We share a love for modern decor and wanted our wedding to bring in natural, bohemian touches while keeping things simple. As a wedding photographer, I knew I would be working with my favorite vendors and friends and wanted to give them direction but at the same time letting them have creative control to do what they do best. Bows + Arrows did an amazing job with our florals. They created a fresh-picked, bohemian vibe with mismatched elements such as cacti in gold pots, lush whimsical flowers spilling from black urns, air plants and succulents, and touches of turquoise, cobalt blue and green.
We knew we wanted to do a first look for many reasons but one big reason was to have plenty of time to enjoy ourselves at our party. We also decided to eat our dinner alone during cocktail hour. This was such a great idea! It was so romantic to have time by ourselves after bring married. Then we said our hello’s to everyone during dinner. Our first dance was to acoustic version “Big Me” by the Foo Fighters and the rest of the night was a dance party! We also opted out of traditions such as a bouquet toss and garter toss in order to spend more time on the dance floor 🙂 Oh and lots of cafe lights!!!
