Tangerine and Soft Blue Wedding Inspiration
This is one color palette that really sticks out at you and with just the right maneuvering, you could certainly pull it off for all four seasons. One July Photography showed us the beauty of a vibrant tangerine and blue wedding shoot designed by Elm Street Social and we haven’t been able to shake off the elegant glam vibes this inspiration is radiating. Wallflower Designs not only sought out the prettiest sunset-colored orange garden roses and delicate pale blue hydrangeas, but also added in lovely dashes of seasonal fruits like apricots, cherries, and even an aubergine-hued plum for some color depth. We love this editorial’s versatility!
From the photographer, One July Photography: We know everyone has seen the 2016 Pantone Colors of the year – but have you seen it with a healthy dose of TANGERINE? From the vintage corvette, to the masterful floral textures, and hand drawn stationery elements – the romantic color palette was echoed throughout the day. Some fun details included: a great DIY seating card project (all you need is a copper pen, marble backsplash tiles, and some gorgeous handwriting!), a fabulous short haired bridal hairstyle, and a fruit and floral filled tablescape paired with painted church pews. Marla from Wallflower Designs is the queen of floral texture. She created the perfect blend of vibrant seasonal fruit with an eclectic array of florals. The brides bouquet was an organically composed masterpiece! Ashley from Paper Love Club created a beautiful suite of products: invitation suite, menu, hand-drawn map, just married sign, and more. Each element incorporated fine paper, watercolor, copper leaf, and custom calligraphy.
Fun tip: Our stylist, Jen from Elm Street Social, purchased a set of hexagon marble tiles typically used in a backsplash. These backsplash tiles were transformed into escort/seating cards when Ashley added gorgeous hand lettering with a copper pen. The romantic dress was created by up-and-coming designer Ellyn Goodman. The illusion back is a showstopper. Carly Pribich created a fresh-faced look with makeup application and hair styling from Jen Spair added the perfect balance of soft feminine romance and modern appeal. Check out that hair for short-haired brides!
Heritage Prairie Farm is a farm-to-table venue nestled in the Chicago suburbs. This gorgeous location provided the perfect backdrop for a charming, romantic, and organic setting. Jen from Elm Street Social brought the vision together with her impeccable styling. She introduced perfectly paired tones, textures, and styling concepts that are fresh yet timeless. This real-life couple emoted so much JOY during this inspiration shoot. We are so blessed to capture this chapter in their love story!
