From the photographers, Ryan & Alyssa Photography: When Nicole and Alex envisioned their wedding day, they had no idea how much their past would direct their future. You see, they first met while studying abroad in Paris for a summer. While they were both cultivating their love for French culture, the language, and the people, they found themselves also falling in love with each other. And when they returned to the City of Light 3 years later, Alex proposed to Nicole with his grandmother’s canary diamond! For their wedding, they couldn’t imagine not embracing the culture and style of the city that first drew them together.

They chose to get married at the Venue at Postcard from Paris, in Nicole’s hometown, a place that embodied the soft, romantic pallet and French couture design these two so enjoyed. Alex & Nicole desired a small, intimate ceremony and celebration, and the attention they paid to details carried through from the ceremony design to the Louboutin shoes Nicole wore. Alex & Nicole wrote their vows in French, and had those vows hand-lettered to a custom parchment backdrop for their ceremony. For their reception, Alex & Nicole chose a family styled design complete with personalized escort cards, dinner lighting, and a gorgeous floral garland in muted, romantic tones. And they celebrated with a glass of rosé and a gorgeous blush lace design cake with sugar florals.
