Great Gatsby Wedding Inspiration

Nothing shouts romance more than hearkening back to the classics, which is what the incredible Alea Lovely had in mind when she designed this wedding inspiration shoot — loosely based around the 1974 film adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s The Great Gatsby. You may remember Alea from this stunning fall inspiration shoot, complete with one of the most gorgeous gowns we’ve ever seen — and now she’s back with another stunner.

From the photographer, Alea: Taking a step back to the 70’s to put a modern spin on a great classic. The setting was at a personal estate creating an intimate wedding setting which is my favorite. The dress was a vintage light blue gown redesigned for a more modern look. The blue danube on the table scape was a major detail I wanted to incorporate that tied together the stationery, cake and floral design. Gave a classy vintage detail. The accessories like the wide head band adorned with crystals gave a bride a very distinct throwback feel.
