Intimate Colorful Wedding at Gruene Estate
Horses, paper punch garlands, vibrant floral arrangements, a beautiful couple deeply in love — this wedding has it all. Natalia and Adam exchanged vows at the stunning Gruene Estate in the most adorable open-air chapel, following by a colorful reception with heaps of handmade touches. From the bride, Natalia: The idea for our wedding started with the venue, Gruene Estate–a little farm with an open-air chapel and reception hall. We wanted something fun, colorful, and not too stuffy to match the location. We also drew inspiration from our invitations. We are both designers so we teamed up to tell our story through pictures and this gave us an idea of what we wanted to do for decorations. With a lot of help from our friends and family, we made all of the decorations ourselves, even with everyone being scattered across different states. The circle backdrop was made by running the circles through the sewing machine and we hand-painted the cake toppers. Overall, it was definitely a labor of love and we are so happy how it turned out.
Our color scheme was pink, orange and a light green. We had laser cut place mats that our friends cut for us, we hand punched and sewed through our backdrop, we stamped our own favors which were little sketchbooks and also dipped the pencils in paint. My husband painted the cake toppers by hand.
Any advice for couples planning their weddings now? Be patient and thorough and know that in the end it will come together and look beautiful!
