Monochromatic Bride Flower Guide
We’re super excited to share today’s shoot with you, put together by the wonderful Amy Nicole Photography and Violet Floral Design. This duo dreamed up a few different bridesmaid looks in monochrome palettes — a pink, a purple, and a green — with makeup, hair, and flowers to complement each one. While these are great ideas for bridesmaids, we also love that they’d work perfectly for a bride who’s open to some fun color for her own wedding look!
From the photographer, Amy Nicole Photography: Tricia Egan of Violet Floral Design and I envisioned a monochromatic shoot with three different color families to inspire some different bridesmaid looks + styles + approaches. We chose the color families Green shades, Purple shades and Peach/Pink shades and then selected a bridesmaid dress, hair and makeup looks, fresh florals, and hand painted canvas backgrounds (by us!) that all kept within each color family. Each model has a different style; Boho, Preppy and Vintage. See below for the details from each color.
Bouquet Recipe: Peonies, Garden Roses, Poppies, Ranunculus.
Our Preppy Peach bridesmaid wore a Posy by Kirribilla gown in the style “Willa.” Her hair was done in a classic chic french twist with a fresh peony garnish, she wore Stella and Dot jewels, and she had fizzy peach cheeks, bright eye color and a light coral lip.
Bouquet Recipe: Hellebores, Poppies, Ranunculus, Victoria, Astilbe, Frilly Tulips.
Our Boho Green bridesmaid wore the Papercrown “Breanna” dress in Dusty Aqua crepe fabric. She wore a loose side braid with florals intertwined, and had a gray eyeshadow with a punch of blush and a Raspberry lip.
Bouquet Recipe: Lilac, Ranunculus, Sweet Pea, Triple Tulips.
The Vintage Purple bridesmaid wore Adrianna Papell’s “Beaded Art Nouveau Blouson” gown. Her hair was styled in finger waves pinned to the side, and she was done up with dramatic plum eyes, bronzed cheeks with a soft blush lip.
Thank you so much for sharing!! The post is lovely!
