Christmas Tree Farm Wedding Inspiration

What better venue could there be for a winter themed wedding shoot than a Christmas tree farm? Namely, this beautiful one in Elgin, TX. Emilie Anne Photography, Kindred by Karis, and Davy Gray pooled their creative talents to create a one-of-a-kind holiday-inspired shoot, complete with berry-topped cakes, decorated macarons, a festive fireplace mantel, and of course, a brilliant red bouquet.

From the photographer, Emilie Anne: With the holiday season right around the corner, we wanted to translate classic Christmas icons into a rustic but elegant wedding. One of our biggest inspirations was the Christmas tree. We immediately knew we wanted to use the gorgeous Elgin Christmas Tree Farm. We envisioned rows of evergreen trees with our lovely bride right in the midst. The colors are simple and refined, classic deep reds and greens with gold accents. The simple paper elements with loose calligraphy that are edged in gold really set the mood for this shoot and give it an elegant charm.

The dessert table makes you feel like you are at a holiday party with that luscious caramel drizzle cake, sugared cranberries and cheery gold-brushed macarons. The wood tones were another huge inspiration; being in the trees meant a woodsy rustic feel. Setting the tablescape right amongst the trees gives the feeling of dining in a winter wonderland. We love the bride’s non-traditional shimmering nude dress, giving off a real elegance and warmth to juxtapose the rustic rows of evergreens. The florals really bring the whole shoot together with the deep reds popping perfectly from the greens, not only in the centerpiece and garland, but also from the backdrop of trees. The vignette of the fireplace mantel and wingback armchairs gives you that warm and cozy feeling when you think of sitting around the fire during the holiday season. This shoot was truly a nod to all of our favorite Christmas traditions for a beautiful holiday wedding.
