Handsome Hollow Wedding Ideas

Any time we see a styled shoot put together by dream team JBM Weddings, Alana Jones-Mann, and Foxglove Floral Design Studio, we get a little extra pep in our step. This shoot is a gift that keeps on giving, from the three stylish cakes to the dahlia wedding bouquet to the botanical inspired invitations from Loveless Design!

From the event designer and stylist, Alana Jones-Mann: For the shoot, we headed to Handsome Hollow – a stunning venue set on 90+ acres of pristine wilderness. With the breathtaking setting, we let the outdoor surroundings of the venue inspire our design – nature was the guide. For the design, we stayed neutral and modern, with earthy elements and touches of vintage mixed in throughout. Pops of rich color were added through hand-illustrated paper details and bright florals. Contrasting shades of peaches and yellows were placed alongside rich reds and deep purples, which were arranged together alongside lush greenery.

For the décor, we brought in custom elements – including a gorgeous handmade table for the reception dinner. I constructed the low-to-the-floor dinner table to enable an intimate dinner setting – placed out in a field, in the middle of the gorgeous surroundings. The table settings were kept neutral, to let the dark oak table and the rich florals shine. The floral and candle centerpieces were kept low to allow for flowing conversation during the delicious family-style meal. Brooklyn cool was reflected through the entire shoot – with gorgeous one-of-a-kind vintage dresses from Brooklyn-based Tiny Kingdom NYC and menswear from Brooklyn Tailors.
