19th Century Stone House Inspiration
There’s such an air of romance in this styled shoot from Lauren Niles of The Regent at Stone House, we hardly know what to do with ourselves. Each detail, from the sweet floral crowns to the flower girl and ring bearer to the rowboat portraits, makes us long for simpler times and quality moments spent with the ones we love. Thank you to L. Hewitt Photography and Blush Florals for rounding out this gorgeous shoot!
From the photographer, Leah of L. Hewitt Photography: The Regent at Stone House is a new venue on a 19th century farm just north of Baltimore, Maryland. We this shoot to evoke the history and timeless romance of the venue. We wanted it to feel warm, relatable and romantic in a nostalgic way, from the playfulness of the ring bearer and the flower girl to picking and sharing wildflowers and spending a summer evening dining al fresco in the midst of a rolling country setting. I chose natural textured linens, distressed finishes and organically designed florals punctuated by fresh fruit. But, as a firm believer in high-low design, these raw elements were matched with rich, ornate touches, such as gold flatware, crystal stemware, chinois china, french cane back chairs and of course, the classic black and white tuxedo. You honestly can never go wrong with a black and white tuxedo (bow tie obviously required)!
We tied in the original 19th century owners of the farm, the Finney family, by giving our bride and groom the same name on the stationery, honoring the original Reverend Finney, by having them marry in front of an old chapel wall and highlighting the original door knocker with their name still engraved in it.

What beautiful, romantic inspiration! Sadly I am already married 😉 But I’m already thinking about how to incorporate some soft, romantic notes into my home décor!
This is an absolutely exquisite inspiration. The palette, the china, those florals, and those cutie-pie kids = a piece of wedding heaven.
Beautiful and romantic, plus those plates are stunning!
