Western Cape Beach Wedding
Oh goodness me, this wedding. I was already drawn in after hearing it was a South African beach wedding, but the mint and coral color scheme against crisp whites left me reeling for days. Nadia Meli and Special Events have a true winner with this one! Let’s hear more from the bride:
From the bride, Suzaan: We always knew we wanted to have a destination wedding weekend with our family and friends and the beautiful western coast of South Africa turned out to be the perfect back drop. The style and feel we envisioned was EASY.GOING… The only expectation we wanted to set was that people could be themselves, that they were going to have a blast. We gave dress code ‘guidelines,’ and the invites were jovial and colourful, intimating that the wedding was going to be laidback and simple. We always kept in the back of our minds that we wanted a touch of understated elegance to go with the rustic ambiance the venue and decoration created.
Our colour scheme was coral and mint with loads of white. As it was a destination wedding we needed help with the décor and execution on the day. Sylvia from Special Events was a gem and suggested vendors based on my Pinterest boards and executed all ideas flawlessly. She handmade the tassels that draped the venue and the balloons, which was no easy feat, but completely worth it in the end. Our guests loved having their own photo-shoot on the beach with the balloons and sun setting in the background, whilst Lazo and I went to do our couple shoot.
Any advice for couples planning their weddings now? Savour every moment of the journey – it goes by so fast, from planning to bridal showers and especially all the love and joy on the big day. When things get too stressful lean on your bridesmaids for support. I couldn’t have done it without my girls. They were my sounding board during the whole process and I treasure every moment from wedding dress shopping, planning and all the times they spent spoiling me in between.

Gorgeous wedding! Loved the beautiful details of this uniquely styled wedding. The colors used for the wedding looks simply stunning.
I am taken by this beautiful wedding and the bride’s Enzoani gown. May I please know the style name? I think it’s the Dakota but not 100% sure. Thank you!
Totally awesome colour scheme and kick ass celebration. Congrats to bride and groom xx
