Irvine Circus Wedding

How can you go wrong with a good circus-themed wedding? Jagger Photography was behind the camera for a wedding filled to the brim with DIY projects, bold colors, and cakes from Beverly’s Best that tie everything together seamlessly. Truly, this beauty of a party wedding is jam-packed with great ideas, so let’s jump on in!

From the bride, Kady: We wanted a romantic feeling, but we also wanted a casual and fun environment. We wanted it to feel like a great party celebrating our love. Our wedding was inspired by a vintage circus theme. We loved the feeling of creating a canopy with lights and vintage parasols, while still enjoying the beauty of a rustic outdoor venue. Along with vintage circus elements, our color palette consisted of black and white stripes and bold jewel tones. Our theme lent itself to many fun DIY projects: center pieces, bouquets, boutonnieres, invitations, ceremony backdrop and the ring bearers pillow were all handmade. We also created many different stations that were heavily decorated with DIY projects, including our “souvenir table” (ie. favors) and our cigar bar.

Any advice for couples planning their weddings now? Establish your budget early on and stay true to it. Decide what elements you’re willing to splurge on and book those vendors first. Don’t be afraid to ask for help. You will have many people offer their services in one way or another – take them up on it! They wouldn’t be offering if they didn’t love you. We were very fortunate to have the amazingly talented SOS Entertainment & Jagger Photography in our family. We definitely lucked out having the DJ and photographer as siblings since those vendors were most important to us. The DJ truly sets the mood of the wedding and keeps the flow throughout the celebration. After months, sometimes years of planning, the day/night tends to fly by, details and candid moments get missed, so having an amazing photographer is key. It’s incredible being able to relive your special day, moments you may have missed and memories shared with your guests all thanks to your photographer! Last but not least… don’t lose sight of what the day is truly about… celebrating love.

  • I am so in love with everything about the wedding. The boutonnieres are perfect! Love all the colors! The umbrellas are a especially nice touch.

  • I absolutely love the bold colors and touch of whimsy! Mixed patterns like these stripes, argyle, and plaids is one of my favorite design details. The whole wedding is just gorgeous and full of personality.

  • Love the black and white bow tie on the groom. The flowers also were very well done. Overall the wedding had a fun & festive feel.

  • Cute little boy… but would have loved to have seen more pictures of the rustic venue.
