Woodland Portland Elopement
When a wedding photographer elopes to Portland to exchange vows in the woods and take some seriously stunning portraits by the water, you know it’s going to be good. With Dylan and Sara Photography behind the images from Jameykay and Arlie’s sweet elopement, we weren’t disappointed in the slightest. Be sure to take note of the flowers from Floral Designs by Alicia, including Jameykay’s incredible floral crown!
From the bride, Jameykay: We really went with what felt true to ourselves which is vintage oriented. The style and art of the 20s really spoke to us when it came to putting our elopement together. My vintage engagement ring is an art deco style so we ran with it!
Any advice for couples planning their weddings now? Your wedding is your own. Don’t be afraid to take a leap and get what you want but keep your new future together in mind when planning. Always be gracious towards others even if something isn’t going quite right. Kindness is the best language to speak because it takes you a whole lot further. On your wedding day, suddenly all of the imperfections are creating the perfect day. We did our wedding how we wanted and we have no regrets. I feel that was the best first step we could have taken in our new life together.

The bride is such a classic beauty! I love it!
This is a beautiful setting! I am looking to have an elopement in a woodland setting. Where exactly is this location in Portland? I live in Florida but I want to travel to a place that has true woodland beauty like this setting ๐
