Sweet Oklahoma Wedding
This wedding captured by EE Photography is as sweet as they come. Filled to the brim with DIY touches, Melissa and Jon’s wedding was exactly as they envisioned: romantic, personal and whimsical. We love how their vision came to life and we’re positively obsessed with her wedding dress:
From the bride, Melissa: I envisioned my wedding being crafty, with a homemade farm-to-table feel. I wanted the guests and viewers to look at the pictures and feel like they were looking into a different era. We wanted our wedding to be romantic, rustic, whimsical, vintage, quaint/personal, casual, and classic. I tried to use soft spring colors for the wedding ceremony and bright bold colors for the reception. There were several DIY projects. We made the giant paper flowers, tassels for the chalkboard, table runners with big gold polka dots, and a message board for the guests to leave a bit of advice.
Any advice for couples planning their weddings now? My advice would be to enjoy the little things during planning. Planning a wedding is a great time to spend time with family and friends which is what I enjoyed most about the process. I was getting to see my mom and bridesmaids on a regular basis, which I loved! Also, I would tell the brides to not fret if their soon-to-be husband doesn’t act interested in the small things. When I asked my husband, “what do you like better, pink or peach” he would just answer with “either one is fine!”. I tried to take this as he trusted my styles and tastes and wanted to leave that part up to me 🙂

Wedding Music:
First Dance: “To Make You Feel My Love,” Adele
Father/Daughter Dance: “Landslide,” Fleetwood Mac
Our actual wedding was a Traditional Catholic wedding, so we had a sting quartet play all classical pieces. As for the rest of the music, my maid-of-honor helped me make cds for the reception. We put mostly oldies and country on, which were definitely crowd-pleasers.

I understand which boutique this dress came from, but I’m just curious if anyone knows the designer or style? It’s absolutely stunning!!

I want tarts now. I love the effects used on the photos.
Who made the mini pie tarts? My daughter is having her wedding at Clauren Ridge.
