Botanical Bloom Wedding Inspiration
Vibrant and vintage tea party meets Spring blooms in the park, this botanical bloom wedding inspiration styled by Kelly Harrison of The Wedding Rabbit with photographs by ALH Photography is just that. Shana Stewart of Sassy Snapdragon Florals put together amazing arrangements full of bright pinks with pops of yellow. So fresh. So romantic.
From the photographer, Ashleigh: Based around the beautiful real love of this gorgeous couple, Nick and Krystle, a team of talented vendors fabricated a botanical wedding inspiration shoot. We based much of the theme around delicate vintage tea saucers, and spring blooms, but incorporated touches of metallic, like DIY mercury vases, to keep it from getting too girly.
The shoot centered around the short and swift bloom of the Cherry Blossom Festival at Washington DC’s Tidal Basin. To echo the blooms, we created simple invitations with a vintage botanical print that we carried through different parts of the day. Hand cut kraft envelopes were lined with the print and easy DIY string tie RSVP envelopes were stamped with retro botanical postage. Both envelopes had a quick metallic spray paint stencil applied for an added pop. We made floral ice cubes to keep cocktails cool by boiling distilled water and layering it with edible flowers. Tea bag shaped escort cards fluttered in the breeze, printed on vellum to allow the sunshine to show through. The bride wore a vintage dress to echo her art deco ring, and various vintage headpieces.
