Bright Watercolor Inspiration

What is it about watercolor that’s so romantic? Every time we see the playful mix of colors, our hearts skip a beat. Angela & Evan Photography and Chesney of All the Flutter bring us this utterly inspiring styled shoot with both pastel and rich, bright tones that make us oh-so-excited for summer.

From the stylist, Chesney of All the Flutter: As a lover of all colors, I’d imagined doing a watercolor themed shoot for some time. Watercolors can be romantic and fun, and I knew there would be endless ways of using various colors. I really wanted the focus to be on the colors… both washed out and bold tones. Instead of flowers being the focus, we filled vintage glass bottles with different colored water. This along with the sea of flowers overhead, created a romantic but relaxed setting perfect for any gathering.

I love that each place setting is also completely usable. The paints can be used along with the mini canvases provided to each dinner guest for an extra fun activity. Each place mat and setting is hand painted and the rich gold toned flatware brings a pretty punch to the overall look. Our cake, which is absolutely exquisite, was carefully painted by hand as well. The table came together perfectly and could easily be used for entertaining a large wedding party or an intimate celebration.

Being in the Pacific Northwest, it had to be the perfect time of year when the natural color palette would match such a colorful theme. Being that we live in such a beautiful part of the county, this time of year the tress are lush, cherry blossoms are in full bloom and the blue shades of the waters that surround us are exquisite! Through many painting projects & brainstorming with our amazing team, my vision came to life beyond what I expected it to be!
