Glamorous Venues: Traverse City, Michigan

Opened in 1892, the City Opera House in Traverse City is the oldest of only three remaining historically intact Victorian Opera Houses (theaters) in Michigan. For the last 30 years, staff and volunteers have been working together to restore the theater and now is available for private events such as weddings. The City Opera House have different size rooms that can accommodate events as small as 100 guests up to 650 guests (theather). The venue is not only gorgeous but is also flexible – you can bring your own caterer and buy your own liquor, which can save you a big chunk of money. Included in the rental fee are Victorian red velvet chairs!
