63rd Wedding Anniversary Celebration

Here we go, one of my favorite shoots we’ve ever featured on Ruffled. So often we get to see couples on their happiest days, getting married to each other, but anniversary sessions are a bit more rare — especially ones after a delightful 63 years together! With the help of Aura Elizabeth Photography, meadows events, and Flame Design Studio, Reverlee and Harden celebrated their anniversary in style. Read on for more about this wonderful couple!

From the photographer, Aura Elizabeth Photography: As the rain poured in Southern California, we listened to the tunes of Ella Fitzerald in a perfectly timeless, urban, and cozy setting. A garden inspired design based on the concept of “Celebrating a Lasting Love” was created with hues of blues, creams, and browns. This was patterned with a simple, elegant look with touches of moody elements. Our couple is classy, natural, and fashionable so the focus was to enhance their love story and personality.

Here is their sweet love story: Reverlee noticed Harden at a party they attended. She boldly walked to him and asked if he wanted to dance. Well, of course he said yes. This is where their love story begins. This past January, the Carters celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary. Before they got married he served in the Navy for 4 years. They have two wonderful children and two grandchildren. These Southern love bells have always loved to travel and have been to every continent including the Arctic and Antarctica. With their love for fashion and hats, the regularly attend Sunday services in style. Their secret to their lasting marriage is respect, love, and patience. The venue: Seventh Place, located in the Artsy District of Downtown Los Angeles. Hip, timeless, urban style with amazing ambiance. Red brick structure, high beam ceilings, historic charm, and retro class.
